Do I need to be on site for a quote?

We usually meet property owners on site to give a quote. But we can provide you with a quote left in your mailbox or by email if we have enough information from you and you are unable to be there. We will need a clear description of what you would like done, along with the species and location of the tree/s within your property.

If you are in need of a quote for tree removal, it is helpful if you are able to clearly mark which trees you would like to be removed.

Do you supply mulch?

Where mulch is produced as part of work carried out, many of our clients decide to keep it for use on their garden.  However, we maintain a list of clients who regularly want mulch and we deliver this to them when it is available. If you would like to have some mulch for your garden, please get in touch.

What happens to the mulch after my stump is removed?

If ArbResolutions provide stump grinding services for you, you can expect the mulch will be raked back into a pile and left onsite (where the stump was). You can take advantage of using this mulch for garden beds or it makes for great compost. We do not remove the mulch created from stump grinding operations unless it is specified in the quote.

Can I keep my wood for firewood?

Our staff can leave the wood cut into firewood rounds for you, or you may wish to keep it for a friend who has a fire. Any of the smaller branches can be left in manageable bits otherwise it will go through the chipper to make a rich woody mulch.

The removal of wood from your site can be arranged.

Will you apply for the necessary Planning Permission to undertake the requested work?

For all work undertaken, it is your responsibility to ensure that the necessary Planning Permission is granted and that we are notified of any restrictions that apply.  Many tasks do not require Local Planning Permission and can start immediately, but other tasks will require approval and permission will have to be sought and granted before work can commence.

As part of our free, no-obligation, quotation process, we will advise you when we think Planning Permission may be required and, if instructed to do so, we can apply to the local council for that permission on your behalf.

If we undertake to seek Planning Permission on your behalf and:

  • permission is not granted, or
  • you subsequently decide not to have the work done, or
  • you arrange for someone else to do the work,

there will be a small charge for the service which will be separately itemised in our quotation.
